This post is inspired by my very dear friend Annie and Jessica who recently posted this project on their blogs.
2011! Wow!! What a year it was. It was a year full of changes and difficult decisions. In January, we had to make one of the hardest and the most difficult decisions to stop the breathing machines which was keeping my father’s fragile heart beating. My father was hospitalized after suffering liver failure, peumonia and many other complications due to leukemia. Within just one week, he went from a recovering cancer patient to just a memory. After losing both of my parents in just four years, I quickly realized how precious it is to keep the memories alive!
And this is how I began my photographic journey… and I never looked back.

Joyce, I’m so sorry you lost your father this year. What an incredibly difficult decision you had to make, huge hugs. Your journey into photography is inspiring and I’m so glad I got to meet you at the Clickin Walk. Your images are beautiful! I especially love the one of the crib… great perspective.
